I have a post-parser rule that looks for keywords in the subject line and routes it t a specific department with a specific status. It seems to work well but I only want it to execute against new tickets only.

This is because after a new ticket is processed by the rule, a staff member may change its department while working on the ticket. If a user replies to it again, the post-parser rule automatically moves it back to the the department and status defined in the parser rule since...

I just installed Kayako to an OpenSUSE Tumbleweed box and after installation it won't show anything, Apache error_log shows this:

Hi,

The attempted upgrades from version 4.55.0.3320 to 4.71.2.8237 have failed after hanging (never finishing), although no errors were shown during the process, just reporting the DB version has stayed the same and is conflicting with the app version, after login. PHP is upgraded to 5.6.

Also, when trying to upgrade the 3rd time around, and after setting the key as required, the application did not respond anymore (the setup could not be launched, causing the blank page and 500 errors).

Ticket Notifications

Hey guys,

How can I setup kayako to send email notifications when tickets are created depending on the department, for example if a ticket for Support was created send an email to the main support account, if it was for the sales department, email to main sales account, etc.

I tried setting up notifications to each staff account and they (notifications) appeared in all staff notifications, I know I did it long ago, I just can't remember how.

Hi guys.

I've just been assigned to move a client's support site to a new server and I'm new to this software.

The support site is not working on the new server. The hosting support says that the current version is not set up for PHP 5.5, but PHP 5.2 (which is the old server) and they are recommending that we upgrade the support software.

Can you tell me how I find out which version is currently set up on the site?

Any help would be appreciated.

We're looking to migrate from Host Gator for a number of reasons and wondering where others are hosting? We're on a shared server right now and they can't meet the system requirements to run the upgrade script anymore. We're looking at possibly moving to a Managed VPS or dedicated server. What do you guys recommend?

In our current system we have over 3500+ organizations, I can export the data to csv, but wondered if anyone has any suggestions to import the csv into kayako?

Hi ,
Currently using Kayako download ver ( 4.69.0 ) and looking to setup an automated workflow prototype which is capable of sending automatic reminders to recipients based on some SLA rules in case the recipient does not respond and if the ticket is not closed.
Example
1. Reminder1 :Send an email to recipient/s after 5 days of sending a mail to the recipient
2. Reminder2 :Resend a mail to recipient/s if we do not receive a response for Reminder1 after 3 days of sending reminder1 or after...

I looked and could not find instructions anywhere.

I was running 4.60.0.3971 and just uploaded the new files.

I went to mysite.com/setup/index.php. That gives me server error 500.
I go to my staff or admin directory, that says to go to https://my.kayako.com, but I can't see instructions there. Then the admin page told me to delete the setup directory, so I did. Then it said my files don't match my database.

It would have been great if instructions could have been included in...

Hi ,
I am setting up the email parser for a existing mailbox which has 1000's of mails. While configuring, I realized that Kayako email parser fetches all the older mails. Two things happened

1. Once imported, the application seems to send an automatic mail to the original email sender "Welcome to Marcura helpdesk" with login credentials to view the status of the ticket.

2. On closing the ticket , it also sends a follow up mail with an option to answer a survey. This I was able to turn off...

Hi All,
I upgraded form 4.6.something to 4.72's latest release. I followed all the instructions in the Upgrade wiki and I then I decided to "Rebuild Search Index" in the admin CP. It has reached 100% and has stayed there for the last 30 minutes now. The "Time elapsed" field is no longer increment but whenever I click to on a different option in the control panel I get the message of "A task is still being executed. If you leave this page it will cancel. Do you wish to continue?"
