Good Evening,
I just upgraded from 4.6 to 4.72. I ensured I met all the requirements however I'm still using the minimum php version of 5.4 as documented on your wiki due to some other restraints I have on the web server.

I have three Issues
1) Searches do not work correctly. When I use the search field above the quick filters, it searches a lot slower... probably about 3 - 4 times slower.

2) When using the search above the ticket list does not return ANY results.

I am trying to perform a silent installation of 4.72.1 as part of a automatic vagrant deployment.

This is being delivered for myself and one other developer in order to create an automatic sandbox environment as part of a self-service app we are trying to deliver, which is also in prep for a whole lot of other work.

Although 5.0 is supposedly around the corner which may mean wasted effort, we have some proof of concept we need to complete (or rather, we need to prove some roadblocks we have...

Closing tickets very slow after moving Kayako to Server 2012/IIS

After moving Kayoko from Linux to Server 2012/IIS we find that tickets close very slowly sometimes and on other occasions the window "freezes" altogether. If we then refresh the window we see that the ticket closes. We have previously tried disabling the survey email after closure and tickets then close fast, consistently. I have seen in a forum someone suggesting to check receive connector settings which we tried to no avail....

Email Parser- Need to fetch only new mails

Hi People ,
I am in the process of setting up a mail box with the email parser. I noticed that we have a historical data of mails above 40,000. When i setup this mail box in Kayako, it fetches all older mails into Kayako. Is there a possibility to restrict and fetch only newer mails ? Any suggestion would be helpful.

At this point we've been using Kayako purely as our internal staff helpdesk system. Everything is done via email. The clients(users) send us an email with their issue which automatically creates a ticket. We reply to them via that ticket etc. I am trying to make use of the online ticket lodging system as I believe it would be more efficient than the email system. However, when I create a user account for Support Centre and log in as them - I only have:

Hi Dears

We've started having some kinds of weird problems from two days ago with our follow ups.
When someone creates follow-ups for cases to open nothing is happening . Only the time increases.
It is very strange as nothing has changed in our environment recently.
I went thorough the Kayako logs and found following generated after that error happens:

Auto Assigning Tickets

Hi,

I've been reading auto assigning tickets, and have came to conclusion that is not currently possible? Is this true?

We are looking to move from our current support system to Kayako - but we need to be able to auto assign tickets to department staff,

If anyone could shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it,

Based on the server requirements doc, it appears Kayako no longer runs on the version of MySQL/Mariadb that comes with RHEL 7, which would be MariaDB 5.5. It seems odd that an enterprise application would have a requirement that makes you select amongst run a non-enterprise OS release (Fedora), build the db server your helpdesk runs on from source and then deal with recompiling every time an update comes out, or use some random person's rpm and hope they don't screw up.

Is there no way to use...

Hello,

I am trying to set up Kayako on localhost, because we do not want to develop on production. I have downloaded the files from the server where Kayako is installed but I get this error
"User Error
Unable to connect to Database. Please verify the username, password, grant permissions and the database status."

Hi,

when I close a ticket but a user then replies, Kayako currently re-opens the ticket. Can I change this so that the user who sent the mail gets a reply instead that the ticket is closed any they should submit a new one?

Email Conversation Thread Broken in Gmail

We use Gmail (Google Apps) internally and I am sure a lot of our customers do as well. Our threads in Gmail are broken when we do a reply to a ticket.

Steps to reproduce issue:
  1. Create new ticket and send email to customer.
  2. Customer replies back to us from the email.
  3. We then respond back to the customer.
  4. Customer's email thread is broken and they see our response as a new email separate from the others.
  5. Every time they respond to us and we respond back it is seen as...

Normal update process like before, go to Staff CP and ticket list is empty. Tried clearing the cache both from the admin and server directly, same problems, multiple errors showing in the Admin:

Hi,

I have yesterday upgrade and now when i want to see history mails from users then i see a header and blank page.

I get the follow error.

Support for multiple SMTP accounts?

I see that with mail queues there's support for multiple pop accounts (via having different mail queues)... but I don't see any way to have multiple SMTP accounts. We use gmail for our mail hosting and receive mail for our clients on multiple gmail accounts (support, sales, etc). We cannot enable SMTP because it seems like Kayako only supports one SMTP account to handle all outgoing emails. We can't simply direct all emails to go through support because Gmail overwrites the From: address to...

Hi.

I'm trying to install Kayako on a fresh windows server 2012 r2.
I have been using WEB platform Installer 5.0.
I have followed the server requirements documentation and installed php 5.6.16 and mysql 5.6.
I have given all the folderpermissions and even to windows\temp and the php folder.
I can run a phpinfo but when I try to run the Kayako\setup I get error 500.

This is what I get in the php-errorlog.

I used self-hosted version of Kayako and my situation is following:
- every thing worked fine last week, with about 10 mail queue, no problem, tickets were created and updated with mails sent to those mail queue.
- 3 days ago some staff users reported that emails sent to mail queue were not fetched into kayako and tickets were not updated with reply from those email
- I check the log and see and error as below:
preg_split() [<a href='function.preg-split'>function.preg-split</a>]: No ending...

Hey there, I was reading through http://forums.kayako.com/threads/seo-friendly-urls.24258/page-4 and thought it was kinda a shame no one had posted a nginx config (there was tons of Apache, and even one lighttpd).
I love nginx, and it would be a shame if I had to use Apache (or lighttpd) instead of it for rewrites.
I was thinking it through, and it seems like nginx would stumble at the point of not knowing the callback of the regex, for example, in lighttpd:...
